Winnette (Green) Fletcher

Winnette Green Fletcher, 97, was called to be with her God on March 11, 2017.  Born to James Herbert and Carrinee Stripling Green on September 3, 1919, she was preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband, J.B. Fletcher, and two sisters, Hazel Hoeschen and Cortez Ritchie.  Funeral services will be held at 11:00A.M., Wednesday, March 15, at McRae First Baptist Church with burial in the Oak Grove Cemetery.  Visitation is one hour prior to the service.

A faithful and devoted servant of our Lord, she served him diligently in the First Baptist Church of McRae for as long as she was physically able.  Winnette was active in her garden club and she had a flair for making things around her beautiful.  She was a charter member of the McRae Duplicate Bridge Club.

She leaves behind a daughter, Judith Fletcher Lowe of Macon, GA, and a son, Joe Brown Fletcher, Jr. of Greenville, SC; two grandsons, George H. Hall, Jr. and his wife, Tracy, of Jacksonville, FL and John F. Hall and his wife, Stephanie, of Macon, GA.  She also leaves six great-grandchildren, Brent Hall and his wife, Jacqueline, Katy Hall, Courtney Hall Andrews and her husband, Brian, Blake Hall, Daniel Hall and David Hall.  Winnette is also survived by two brothers, Ronald N. Green of Jacksonville, FL and Gerald T. Green and his wife, Senny, of Marietta, GA.  Also included as family are Sophie Berry, who has long been her dear friend, and her Southern Charm family who cared for her so tenderly in her final years.
