Verta Mae (Fordham) Loden
Verta Mae Fordham Loden, 76, of Helena, died Friday, April 1. Funeral services will be at 2:30P.M., Monday, April 4, in the chapel of Vaughn Funeral Home, McRae, with burial in the Telfair Memorial Gardens. Visitation is Sunday, 2:00-4:00P.M.
A native and lifelong resident of Telfair County, Mrs. Loden was the daughter of the late Charlie and Mae Bell Snellgrove Fordham and the wife of the late Johnny William Loden. She was a waitress and a member of China Hill Christian Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Johnnie L. Hulett, Helena; sons, John Willie Loden, Milan and Michael Fordham, Warner Robins; brothers, Harvey Maxwell Fordham, Maryland, and Charles Edward Fordham, McRae; sisters, Doris Cox, Maryland, Florence Unverzagt, Philadelphia, PA, and Rozzalee Spell, Atlanta; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
