Raymond Felix Knowles

Raymond Felix Knowles, 71, of McRae, died Saturday, October 16, following an illness.  A funeral service will be held at 10:00A.M., Friday, October 22, at McRae First Baptist Church with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery.  Visitation is Thursday, 6:00-8:00P.M.  We kindly request that all guests follow CDC COVID guidelines.

A native of Telfair County where he lived most of his life, Mr. Knowles was the son of the late George Felix Knowles and the late Jettie Spires Knowles.  Employed with First Franklin Financial for many years, he had also worked with Roydon Wear, Matthews Furniture and Life of Georgia.  Mr. Knowles was a member of McRae First Baptist Church where he created and operated the sound system and was a deacon for many years.

Survivors include his wife, Maxine Knowles of McRae; children, Tori Knowles (Troy) Brookins and Cindy (Wayne) Hinson, both of McRae; and Candi (Jason) Lann of Eastman; sisters, Eloise Knowles Pickard of Adairsville and Frances (Gene) Skipper of Jacksonville, FL; grandchildren, Charity Mann (Kurtis), Kensey Brookins, Blake Conley, Dylan Conley, Hailey (Joe) Arnold, Cidnee (Austin) Williams, Sara Lann and Jason Thomas Lann; thirteen great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
