Ramal Jeanette (Stone) Short

Ramal Jeanette Stone Short, 82, of Hazlehurst, died Saturday, February 01.  A memorial service will be held at 2:00P.M., Tuesday, February 4, in the chapel of Vaughn Funeral Home, McRae, with burial at Clements Cemetery.  Visitation is Monday, 6:00-8:00P.M.

A native of Telfair County where she lived most of her life, Ms. Short was the daughter of the late Lamar and Ossie Ray Stone and was the wife of the late William H. “Bill” Short.  A loving mother and grandmother, “Ma” will be remembered by many from her employment with the Telfair County Sheriff’s Office as well as her many years as a restaurant manager.  Ms. Short was preceded in death by her brothers and sister, Douglas Stone, Richard Stone and Sue Hulett.

Survivors include her son, Jamie (Katina) Nobles of Helena; brothers, Charles Stone of McRae and Akridge Stone of Sumter, SC; sister, Eunice Clements of Hazlehurst; and granddaughters, Karlie Nobles and Tuesday Nobles, both of Helena.
