Rachel H. Spires, 74, of McRae, died Tuesday, July 21. Funeral services will be held at 2:30P.M., Friday, July 24, at McRae Church of God with burial in the Oak Grove Cemetery. Visitation is Thursday, 7:00-9:00P.M.
A native of Jackson, Ms. Spires was the daughter of the late Jarrell Wilson Heath and the late Rachel Elizabeth Patterson Heath, and was married to the late W.J. Spires. She was a homemaker and a member of the McRae Church of God.
Survivors include her son, James (Jeanie) Spires; daughter, Cathy Spires; and grandchildren, Blayne (Alex) Spires and Kori Spires, all of McRae; sisters, Karen (Stephan) McClure of McDonough, Erma (Raymond) Smith of Jackson and Mary Nell Heath of Lakeland, FL; sister-in-law, Edith Heath Jackson of Jackson; and several nieces and nephews.
