Pete C. Fulford, 83, of McRae, died Thursday, November 17.. Funeral services will be at 2:30P.M., Saturday, November 19, at Helena Baptist Church with burial in the Helena Cemetery. Visitation is Friday, 6:30 – 8:30P.M.
A native and lifelong resident of Telfair County, Mr. Fulford was the son of the late James D. and Maggie Cravey Fulford, and husband of the late Amy Lucille Rhodes Fulford. A member of McRae United Methodist Church and the owner/operator of Pete Fulford’s Grocery, he was a lifetime grocer and meat cutter. Mr. Fulford was preceded in death by brothers and sister, John Fulford, Daniel David (Billy) Williams and Louise Williams Fisher.
Survivors include his daughters, Marie Fulford Jeffries, JoAnne Fulford Reynolds and Jacqueline Fulford Wise, all of McRae; brothers and sisters, Harry Fulford, Lake City, FL, Inez Ashley, Scotland, Inell Pitts, Lake City, FL, Dorothy Randolph, Vidalia, Grady Williams, McRae, Jimmie Williams, McRae, and Gracie Brooks, Helena; grandchildren, Gwen Jeffries, Larry Reynolds, Kevin Shurling and Jodi Sheppard; and eight great-grandchildren.
