Pearl Bush McDuffie, 94, of McRae, died Thursday, October 6. Funeral services will be at 2:00P.M., Sunday, October 9, in the chapel of Vaughn Funeral Home with burial in the McDuffie Cemetery. Visitation is Saturday, 6:00–8:00P.M.
A native and lifelong resident of Telfair County, Mrs. McDuffie was the daughter of the late Luther Alexander and Mattie Bass Bush. A homemaker for most of her life, she also worked at local department stores, Bradfield’s, Berman’s and Aaron’s. A member of McRae First Baptist Church, Mrs. McDuffie was preceded in death by her husband, Orice Lee “Doc” McDuffie; daughters, Betty Wade and Lucy Ladson; son, Lee McDuffie; and grandsons, Alan McDuffie and Michael Lee Wade.
Survivors include a son, Larry McDuffie, Atlanta; sister, Martha Ruth Bowen, McRae; grandchildren, John Wade, III, Beth Wade, Rhonda Mitchum, Jeff Hinson, Jill Calhoun, Kathy Cranford and Mike McDuffie; twelve great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
