Ottie Lee (Logue) Knowles

Ms. Ottie Lee Logue Knowles, 87, of McRae, died Monday, December 11.  A funeral service will be held at 2:00P.M., Wednesday, December 13, at Southside Baptist Church with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery.  Visitation is Tuesday, 6:00-8:00P.M.

A native of Wheeler County, Ms. Knowles was the daughter of the late Carlos Newton “C.N.” Logue and the late Della Varnadoe Logue and was the wife of the late Daniel Lee “D.L.” Knowles.  A supervisor with Roydon Wear, Inc., she later began working with her husband at their restaurant, Knowles Barbecue.  Ms. Knowles was a charter member of Southside Baptist Church.

Survivors include her daughters, Shirley Knowles (Robert) Clark of Alamo and Alice Knowles (Dennis) Wood of McRae; brother-in-law, Walter Rivers White of McRae; grandchildren, Jeffrey S. (Felicia) Clark, Jennifer Clark, Tracey (Ustün) Burdak, Trevor (T.J.) Ryals, Jason (LeAnnn) Wood, Marcy (Brad) Smith, Brandon (Brittany) Wood and Brent (Emily) Wood; great-grandchildren, Justin (LaDonna) Crumpler, Jordan Ryals, Daniel Ryals, Trey Burke, Madison (Blake) Pullen, Jessica, Jacob and Jace Clark, Sydney (Evan) Melton, Tobie Moon, Makayla, Jenna and Jacie Wood, Kiley Paige Smith, Brogen and Gunner Wood, Presley Harris, Maeley Wood and Mairveh Burdak; and great-great-grandchildren, Halle and Beau Crumpler and Gracie Lee Melton.
