Nancy (Vaughn) Lanier

Nancy Vaughn Lanier, 49, of McRae, died Sunday, March 25,  Graveside funeral services will be held at 3:00P.M., Tuesday, March 27, at Primitive Grove Church Cemetery, Metter.

A native of Eastman, Mrs. Lanier was the daughter of the late Junior Vaughn and Estelle Sheffield Yawn.  A CNA with McRae Manor, she also did some private duty caretaking.  Mrs. Lanier was of Holiness Baptist faith and was gifted in many areas, including the craft of crochet, having gifted many hand-crafted items to friends and family.

Survivors include her husband of 22 years, Roger Gilber Lanier, McRae; daughter, Rachael Lanier, McRae; son, Thomas (Brandi) Funderburke, Reidsville; brothers and sisters, Lewis Vaughn, Jacksonville, Wayne (Reba) Vaughn, Douglas, George (Sissy) Vaughn, Metter, James (Gloria) O’Neal, Higgston, Elizabeth Sheffield and Annette (Don) Huff, both of Eastman; grandchildren, Brandon Lanier and Braydon Lanier, both of McRae; several nieces and nephews, friends and wonderful neighbors; and a special pet, Pokemon.
