Melvie Jane Brown

Melvie Jane Brown, 78, of Eastman, died Monday, August 01.  Funeral services will be held at 1:00P.M., Wednesday, August 3, in the chapel of Vaughn Funeral Home, McRae, with burial in Sand Grove Church Cemetery, Milan.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.

A native of Telfair County where she lived most of her life, Miss Brown was the daughter of the late Jessie James Brown and the late Mamie Florence Melvin Brown.  She was a member of Faith Baptist Church.

Survivors include her sister, Mary Ann Beasley Culpepper, Eastman; sister-in-law, Bobbie Brown, Macon; and several nieces and nephews.  Also surviving are brother-in-law, Tommy Ryals and his wife, Velma, who have been the most loving, attentive and compassionate caretakers for many years.
