Martha (Roberson) Boone

Martha Roberson Boone, 83, of Jacksonville, died Monday, November 25, following a lengthy illness.  A funeral service will be held at 11:00A.M. on Wednesday, November 27, at Sharon Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery.  Visitation is one hour prior to the service.

A native and lifelong resident of Telfair County, Ms. Boone was the daughter of the late Charlie and Harriett Bishop Roberson and the wife of the late Chester Boone.  She was a faithful and long-time member of Sharon Baptist Church where she also enjoyed Sunday School.  Ms. Boone also enjoyed attending Cora and Odia’s Bible Study.  She was preceded in death by brothers and sisters, Jack Roberson, Leroy Roberson, Annie Mae Register and Bessie Harrell.

Survivors include her daughter, Chessie B. (Andy) Stanley of Milan and granddaughter, Brianna Stanley of Macon; and several nieces and nephews, including special caregiving nieces, Debbie Harrell, Betty Conley and Joyce Yeargin.
