Marfa Ann (McDonald) Sumner

Marfa Ann "Mutt" Sumner, 86, of Lumber City died Wednesday, February 21, following a lengthy illness. A funeral service will be held at 11:00A.M., Saturday, February 24, at Lumber City First Baptist Church with burial at Riverside Cemetery.  Visitation is Friday, 6:00 - 8:00PM.

A native of Fitzgerald, Mrs. Sumner was the daughter of the late Jim Smith McDonald and the late Vera Gertrude Meaker McDonald.  She was a retired supervisor with Roydon Wear and attended Lumber City First Baptist Church.  She was preceded in death by her first husband, Oscar "Mann" Hulett.

Survivors include her husband, Carl Sumner of Lumber City; daughters, Pam Sumner of Rentz and Kim Pope of Alamo; sister, Carolyn Chambers of Fitzgerald; grandchildren, Kyle Pope, Cole Hill, Tylor Pope, Jessica Pope, Ashlee Hill and Alex Brantley; and great-grandchildren, Isabella Pope, Jaxson Pope and Woody Hill.
