Manda Lutrelle Selph Knowles, 82, of McRae, died Tuesday, February 17. Funeral services will be held at 3:00P.M., Saturday, February 21, in the chapel of Vaughn Funeral Home with burial at Siloam Church Cemetery. Visitation is Friday, 6:00-8:00P.M.
A native of Milan, Ms. Knowles was the daughter of the late Oakley Selph, Sr. and Essie Hulett Selph. She was married to the late John Floyd Knowles, Sr. for more than 62 years and was a member of Siloam Baptist Church. Ms. Knowles worked with both Roydon Wear and the University of Georgia Cooperative Extension Service Nutrition Program for many years before becoming a full time homemaker.
Survivors include her children, LaVerne K. (Johnny) Cranford, Chauncey, Louise K. (Rev. James) Fennell, Perry, Neva Jane (John Paul) Horton, Rhine, Floyd (Donna) Knowles, Jr., Milan and Don (Jan) Knowles, Eastman; brother, Tommy D. Selph, McRae; grandchildren, Dave Cranford, Beth Jones, Scott Fennell, Angela Ford, Amy Horton, Crystal Horton, John Casey Horton, Brittany Horton, Kerry Knowles and Marty Knowles; thirteen great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
