Ms. Janie Louise Rhodes Rogers, 82, of Middleburg, FL, died Sunday, March 20. Funeral services will be at 11:30A.M., Wednesday, March 23, in the Helena Baptist Church with burial in the Telfair Memorial Gardens. Visitation is Tuesday, 6:30 – 8:30P.M.
A Middleburg, FL resident and a native of Telfair County, Ms. Rogers was the daughter of the late Joe and Margie Hulett Rhodes and was the wife of the late Robert Lee Rogers, Sr. She returned home in September 2010, residing with her niece, Marie Jeffries. Ms. Rogers was preceded in death by sons, “Bob” Robert Lee Rogers, Jr. and Jerry Wayne Rogers; sister, Amy Lucille Fulford Blackburn; and great-granddaughter, Haleigh Brooke Saunders.
Survivors include her sons, Walter Ray Rogers and Stephen Douglas Rogers, both of Middleburg, FL; brother and sister, Jim Shelton Rhodes and Geneva Inez Rhodes Williams, both of McRae; grandchildren, “Rusty” James Russell-Lush Ashley, Danielle Rae Rogers Frisbee, Rochelle Leigh Rogers, Stephen Douglas Rogers, Jr., Cassie Michaela Rogers; and great-grandchildren, William Russell Ashley, Tanner Lane Ashley, Ty Clifton Ashley, Jesse Carl Saunders, Wyatt Joseph Frisbee and Dalton Ray Frisbee.
