Julia “Judy” Ann Peavy Friend, 71, of Ft. Valley, died Saturday, October 22. A memorial service will be held at 3:00P.M., Sunday, October 30, at Peachtree Baptist Church, Byron.
Born in Telfair County, Ms. Friend was the daughter of the late Nelson A. and Vada Irvin Peavy. A member of Peachtree Baptist Church, she was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Lewis Friend and a son, Michael Bustamante.
Survivors include her children, Jimmy Jeffries, Fred Jeffries, Karen Wriedt, and Sandra Lear, all of Warner Robins, Serena Rabideau of Virginia Beach, VA, and Brian Bustamante of Byron; brothers and sisters, Ken Peavy of Forest Park, Larry Peavy of Stockbridge and Eric Peavy of Michigan, Bunny White of Ft. Valley, and Jewell Purvis of Alamo. Thirteen grandchildren and one great-grandchild also survive.
