Jessie Odessa Towns
Jessie Odessa Towns, 83, of Savannah, died Tuesday, February 19. Funeral services will be held at 2:00P.M., Friday, February 22, in the chapel of Vaughn Funeral Home, McRae, with burial in the Telfair Memorial Gardens. Visitation is Thursday, 6:00-8:00P.M., at Vaughn Funeral Home, McRae.
A native of Telfair County, Ms. Towns was the daughter of the late John Osborne Towns and Jessie Powell Towns. She was a graduate of Lumber City High School and was retired from both Winn Dixie and Piggly Wiggly, where many friends knew her as “June”. Ms. Towns was a member of Calvary Baptist Temple.
Survivors include several cousins; special friend, Doris Boice; and other close friends.
