James W. "Jimmy" Harwell

James W. “Jimmy” Harwell, 74, of McRae, died Thursday, March 12.  A graveside funeral service will be held at 2:00P.M., Sunday, March 15, at Oak Grove Cemetery.  A gathering of friends will begin one hour prior to the service at the cemetery.

A native of Savannah, Mr. Harwell was the son of the late Stewart Bascom Harwell and Dorothy Haney Harwell Powell.  He was retired from the U.S. Navy and was preceded in death by a brother, Stewart B. "Skipper" Harwell, Jr.
