James Farris Jones
James Farris Jones, 74, of Cochran, died Tuesday, March 10. A graveside funeral service will be held at 11:00A.M., Wednesday, March 11, at Blockhouse Cemetery, Jacksonville.
A native of Jacksonville, Mr. Jones was the son of Laurine Burch Pierce and the late Andrew Julian Jones and was married to the late Edda Mae Roberson Jones. He had worked with the Telfair County Road Department and Amercord.
Survivors include his mother, Laurine B. Pierce, Warner Robins; brother and sisters, Scotty L. Jones and Mary Ann Myer, Warner Robins, Barbara Lassiter, Belmont, NC, and Sylvia Lee, Jacksonville; caregivers, Eddie and Martha R. Wilkes; and a host of nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 1101 Northchase Pkwy, Marietta, GA 30067.
