James Carl Nobles

James Carl Nobles, 90, formerly of Fort Valley, died Sunday, February 14.  A graveside funeral service will be held at 2:00P.M., Saturday, February 20, at Grimes Cemetery, Helena, with visitation one-half hour prior to the service.

A native of Helena, Mr. Nobles was the son of the late James Earnest and Clara Grimes Nobles and was married to the late Nettie Mae Page Nobles.  He retired from Georgia Kraft Paper Mill and had served in the National Guard.  Mr. Nobles was preceded in death by a son, Bill Nobles; two brothers and three sisters.

Survivors include his daughter, Barbara Nobles Davidson of Gray; brothers, Pete (Eunice) Nobles of Cochran, Willie (Shirley) Nobles and Jimmy Nobles, both of Helena; grandchildren, Brad (Carol) Miller of Gray, Chan (Rose) Nobles of Forsyth, Ross Pearce of Macon, Carl Nobles of Atlanta and Curt Nobles of Byron; several great-grandchildren, including Ashley Scarboro of Warner Robins, Jordan Miller and Katelyn Miller, both of Gray; and two great-great-grandchildren.
