Inez Mims Johns, 84, of McRae, died Sunday, January 16. Funeral services will be at 11:00A.M., Thursday, January 20, in the McRae United Methodist Church with burial in the Fishing Creek Cemetery. Visitation is Wednesday, 6:00-8:00P.M.
A native and lifelong resident of Telfair County, Mrs. Johns was the daughter of the late Duncan F. and Vera Neal Mims and the wife of the late Vance Johns. A member of McRae United Methodist Church, She was retired from McRae Manor Nursing Home after many years and later retired as a private sitter. Mrs. Johns was preceded in death by children, Arlene Elaine Johns and David Elias Johns.
Survivors include her children, Richard (Bunny) Johns, Attalla, AL, Kenneth (Jeanette) Johns, Nashville, TN, Nita (Chris) Stone, Jacksonville, FL, and Emmett (Sandra) Johns, McRae; brother, Jimmy (Dorothy) Mims, Watkins; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
