Our hearts were saddened, when quietly February 17, 2021, our loving wife, sister, aunt, cousin and friend, Mrs. Inez Carnes, departed this life to be with the Lord. She left many fond memories in the hearts of her many friends and family.
Inez was a faithful member of the United Pentecostal Church of Milan, GA for 40 plus years. Many of those spent teaching Sunday school and leading the congregation in singing.
Inez was born September 3, 1943 to the late Horace Gregory and Doris Norton Gregory in Macon, GA. She married Henry Clinton Carnes February 11, 1962 in Macon, GA
Inez worked with the Telfair County School System and retired from the State of Georgia.
After retirement, Inez was a faithful caregiver to her mother-in-law, Lucille Carnes.
Survivors include her husband of 59 year, Henry Clinton Carnes of Milan, sister, Charlotte Yaughn of Jones County, brothers, Randall and Darlene Gregory of Twiggs County, William Cecil (WC), and Morgan Gregory of Jones County, and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Private graveside Funeral Services will be held Sunday, February 21, at 3:30PM at Hulett Cemetery, Milan, GA.

Inez was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Jeanette Green, brothers, Calvin Gregory and Donald Gregory, Rev B L Carnes, Father In Law and Lucille Carnes, Mother In Law.
We as a family ask all prayer warriors to continue to pray for those suffering from COVID. “For I will restore health to you and heal you of your wounds,” says the Lord. Jeremiah 30:17
In lieu of flowers, the family request that you remember Inez in your heart, your thoughts, and your memories.
We will love and miss her always.
