Henry "Buck Shot" Dave Yawn
Henry Dave “Buck Shot” Yawn, 80, of McRae, died Sunday, February 19. Funeral services will be at 2:00P.M., Tuesday, February 21, in the chapel of Vaughn Funeral Home with burial in Trinity Cemetery. Visitation is Monday, 6:00-8:00P.M.
A native and lifelong resident of Telfair County, Mr. Yawn was the son of the late Spurgeon “S.W.” and Mary Lee Davis Yawn. A farmer and the owner of Yawn Brothers Seed Company, Mr. Yawn was of Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Elliott White.
Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Joann Yawn of McRae; children, Dennis (Sheila) Yawn of Douglas, Marty (Garland) White of Alamo, Marijo (Glynn) Webb of Raeford, NC, Jane (Charles) McVey, David (Cindy) Yawn and James (Stacey) Yawn, all of McRae; brother and sisters, Margaret Whatley, Sylvia Moon, Annette Hopkins and Allen Yawn, all of McRae and Norma Ray of Hazlehurst; thirteen grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
