Gladys (Dykes) Crumpler

Gladys Dykes Crumpler, 87, formerly of McRae, died peacefully on Thursday, April 15, following a brief illness.  A funeral service will be held at 3:00P.M., Sunday, April 18, at Milan Baptist Church with visitation one hour prior.  Burial will follow at Milan Cemetery.

A native of Milan, Mrs. Crumpler lived most of her life in Telfair County.  She was the daughter of the late Daniel "Runt" and Nellie Sheffield Dykes and was the wife of the late George Rabun Crumpler.  Mrs. Crumpler was the owner/operator of both Gladys' Kitchen and Helena Cafe and had also worked at Milan Manufacturing.  She was a member of Milan Baptist Church.

Survivors include her children, Dan Crumpler of McRae, Donald (Robyn) Crumpler of Hazlehurst and Felicia (Jeffrey) Clark of Dublin; grandchildren, Justin (Ladonna) Crumpler of Dublin, Brittany Rye of Hazlehurst, Baylee (Vick) Sims of Valdosta, Jessica (Blake) Bracewell of Rentz, Jacob Clark and Jace Clark, both of Dublin; and great-grandchildren, Halle Crumpler and Beau Crumpler, both of Dublin, and Drake Rye of Hazlehurst.
