Gertrude Wilcox Williams, 89, of Jacksonville, died Tuesday, May 31. Funeral services will be at 1:00P.m., Friday, June 3, at Blockhouse Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation is one hour prior to the service at the church.
A native and lifelong resident of Telfair County, Mrs. Williams was the daughter of the late Gordon and Essie Miller Wilcox and the wife of the late Horace W. Williams. A member of Blockhouse Baptist Church, W.M.U., and the Daughters of the American Revolution, she was preceded in death by an infant son, Roy Allen Williams.
Survivors include her daughters, Diane (Robert) Rogers, Donalsonville, and Gaile (Patrick) Allen, Athens; brother, Mark Wilcox, Jacksonville; grandchildren, Amy (Phil) Gruber, Clint (Lora) Rogers, Beth (Lindsey, III) Cordell, Clayton (Tracy) Allen; and great-grandchildren, Tyler Gruber, Benjamin Rogers, Leo Rogers, Ruth Rogers, Joseph Rogers, Robert Clinton Rogers, III, Caroline Cordell, Lindsey Cordell, IV, Allie Cordell, Anna Claire Allen, Julia Allen and Eliza Allen.
