Flurry Wicker Peede, 77, of Lumber City, died Thursday, March 22. Funeral services will be held at 11:00A.M., Saturday, March 24, in the chapel of Vaughn Funeral Home, McRae, with burial in the Sand Grove Cemetery, Milan. Visitation is Friday, 6:00-8:00P.M.
A native of Montezuma, Mr. Peede was the son of the late Flurry Gilbert and Belle Pearl Peede. An Air Force veteran of the Korean Conflict, and a member of Montezuma Methodist Church, he retired from Roper Lawn Products in 1996. Mr. Peede was preceded in death by 3 sisters, 4 brothers and brother-in-law, Walter Hardin.
Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Carolyn “Cookie” Peede, Lumber City; mother-in-law, Louise B. Hardin, Marietta; sisters-in-law, Marlene Peede of Jesup, Jeanette Peede, Ellaville and Linda Mills, Marietta; brother-in-law, Dale Hardin, Marietta; and numerous nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
