Services for Lillian Ernestine Stovall, age 89, of McRae, Georgia will be held on Wednesday, November 23, 2011, at 2:00P.M., at Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel, McRae, Georgia. Burial will follow at Red Hill Church Cemetery.
Ms. Stovall died Sunday, November 20, 2011. Born in Telfair County on June 2, 1922, the daughter of the late Mr. & Mrs. Ben Stovall, she was retired from the Merchants and Citizens Bank and was a caregiver for family members. She was known as “Tean” to most of her family and was loved by all who knew her.
Ms. Stovall was preceded in death by a brother, Lamar Stovall, and a niece, Pam (Stovall) Young.
She is survived by two brothers, Clinton (Martha) Stovall of Alamo, and Harry M. Stovall of McRae; a great-nephew, Tyler Young of Alamo; other family members, Tony & Darlene Young and Ryan Harper, all of Alamo; dear friend, Heraldine Seabolt; neighbors, Gene & Lois Blankenship and Gilbert & Nancy Lanier & family, all of McRae.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to New Red Hill Holiness Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 1162 W. Hwy 280, Milan, GA 31060, or the charity of choice.
