Elizabeth (Dykes) Burch

Elizabeth Dykes Burch, 82, of McRae, died Tuesday, December 12.  A graveside funeral service will be held at 3:00P.M., Thursday, December 14, at Dodge’s Chapel Cemetery.  Visitation is Wednesday, 6:00-7:00P.M.

A native of Wheeler County, Ms. Burch was the daughter of the late Charlie and Elizabeth Sheppard Dykes, and was the wife of the late Robert Burch.  She was preceded in death by her son, Ray Burch.

Survivors include her daughter-in-law, Diane Burch of McRae; and nieces and nephews, Bruce (Sandy) Purvis, Brenda Yawn, Connie (Jimmy) Grimes and Donna (Russell) Nobles.  Several great nephews and great nieces also survive.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Dodge’s Chapel Cemetery Fund, c/o Nelson Powell, 2104 Cedar Park Rd., Lumber City, GA 31549.  Contributions to the cemetery fund may also be taken to the Bank of Lumber City.
