Edna Waunell Cravey Vaughn, 81, of Rhine, died Thursday, December 9, 2010. Funeral services are at 2:00P.M., Sunday, December 12, at Sharon Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation is Saturday, 6:00 – 8:00P.M., at Vaughn Funeral Home, McRae.
A native and lifelong resident of Telfair County, Mrs. Vaughn was the daughter of the late T.D. and Sarah Ethel Hulett Cravey. She, along with her late husband, Eddie Maurice Vaughn, Sr., operated Vaughn’s Grocery for more than 55 years. Mrs. Vaughn was a member of Sharon Baptist Church and was preceded in death by a son, Eddie Maurice Vaughn, Jr.
Survivors include her children, Jeanelle Jones and Joe Tom Vaughn, both of Rhine, and Wanda Moore, Hawkinsville; bro, Stacey Cravey, Valdosta; sisters, Lorene Shaw, Idaho, Luzelle Knight, Milan, and Rozelle Coin, Kentucky; grandchildren, Neil Vaughn, Rhine, Danny Vaughn, Macon, Jessica Vaughn Morgan, Savannah, Wendy Moore, Rhine, and Justin Moore, Jonesboro; and great-grandchildren, Jayci Moore and Jordan Moore.
