Doris Monfort Welker, 95, of Westland, MI, died Saturday, August 8. The family will receive friends at 11:00A.M., on Thursday, August 13, at Vaughn Funeral Home, McRae, GA, followed by a graveside funeral service at 3:00P.M., at Telfair Memorial Gardens.
A native of Wheeler County, Ms. Welker was the daughter of the late Hugh Alexander Monfort and the late Stella Gertrude Nobles Monfort. She was the wife of the late Robert Latner Welker and was a homemaker.
Survivors include her sons, Robert L. (Cathy) Welker, Westland, MI, Billy Hugh (Maggie) Welker, Haiku, HI, Terry Welker, Brighton, MI and Ronny Joe (Cathy) Welker; sisters, Katie Waters, Jeffersonville, GA and Jewell Hobbs, Savannah, GA; nine grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.
