Jonathon Corey Mason, 20, of Lumber City, died Saturday, August 8. Funeral services will be held at 4:00P.M., Tuesday, August 11, in the chapel of Vaughn Funeral Home, McRae, with burial in Telfair Memorial Gardens. Visitation is Monday, 6:00-9:00P.M.
A lifelong resident of Telfair County, Corey was a graduate of Ocmulgee Academy and was employed as a meat cutter with Piggly Wiggly. Corey was also a farmer and attended People’s Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, J.B. and Hattie Mason and Arthur and Jewell Tucker.
Survivors include his parents, Wendell and Darlene Mason, Lumber City; brother, Justin Z. Mason (Maycie Lewis), Lumber City; and aunts and uncles, Chip and Faye Parker and David and Kim Parker, all of Lumber City, Gail Browning of Helena, Frank and Brenda Tucker of Fitzgerald, David and Teresa Tucker and Ernie Tucker of Scotland, and Juanita and Wade Watts of Hazlehurst.
In lieu of flowers, the family would greatly appreciate contributions toward the funeral expense.
