Charlie Paul Giles, 78, of McRae, died Tuesday, July 17. Funeral services will be at 10:00A.M., Friday, July 20, at Faith Baptist Church. Burial will follow at 1:00P.M., in the Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Milledgeville. Visitation is Thursday, 6:00-8:00P.M.
A native of Bluffton, Mr. Giles was the son of the late Lester and Emma Snipes Giles. He was a member of Faith Baptist Church and was a carpenter. Mr. Giles was preceded in death by his wife and mother of his children, Myrtice Adams Giles; and brothers, Wade and Walter (Bo) Giles.
Survivors include his sons, Larry (Paula) Giles, Hazlehurst and Terry (Kathy) Giles, McRae; daughter, Brenda (Nikki) Hartley, Alamo; brother and sisters, Johnny (Joann) Giles, Lumpkin, Annie Ruth Champion, McDonough, Marinell (Clifford) Bell, Cairo, and Laura Eolin (John) Henry, Lucedale, MS; aunt, Maybelle Giles, Statesboro; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
