Annie Elizabeth Wooten Horton, 98, of Jacksonville, died Tuesday, December 13. Funeral services will be at 2:00P.M., Thursday, December 15, in the chapel of Vaughn Funeral Home, McRae, with burial in the Telfair Memorial Gardens. Visitation is Wednesday, 6:00-8:00P.M.
A native and lifelong resident of Telfair County, Mrs. Horton was the daughter of the late Oscar and Ida Mae Clements Wooten. She was the wife of the late Charlie Horton, Sr., and she attended Milan Church of God and Central Grove Church of God. Mrs. Wooten was preceded in death by a son, J.W. Horton; brothers, Roy Wooten, Willie Wooten and Omer Wooten; and daughters-in-law, Vivian O. Horton and Myrtle D. Horton.
Survivors include her son, Charlie (Irene) Horton, Jr. of Jacksonville; grandchildren, Layla Perkins, Bonaire; Debra Horton Flaherty, Suwannee, FL; Medra Horton Williams, Kathleen; Jimmy Horton, Warner Robins; Tim C. Horton, Alamo; and Jennifer Horton Green, McRae; great-grandchildren, Cory Evans, Brandon Evans, Jonathan Horton, Brandy Smith, Jennifer Horton, Joshua Horton and K.C. Horton. Thirteen great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive.
